Around one year ago, we visited Pembroke and Pembroke Dock ABC to see how it’s inclusive sessions every Thursday evening from 5pm – 8:30pm, are benefitting those with disabilities.

Students from Penygroes Higashi Karate Club celebrated grading success in Cardiff. (Image: Susy Soravia) Students from a karate club in the Amman Valley experienced grading success in Cardiff last month. The six pupils from Penygroes Higashi Karate Club all passed their grades, including purple and brown belts, on April 26. The karate kids passed under Sensei Steve Bell - 7th Dan and Sensei Jon Dunn - 6th Dan besides, four senior instructors.

Mike Lewis passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 from a heart condition after serving over 25 years at Cwmbran Town AFC. During his time, Mike also served as treasurer and was a loyal supporter who helped to raise money for the club. Club Chairman, Marc Herbert said: “Mike has been at the club for as long as I can remember. Without his support I would never have become chairman. “He lived and breathed for the club, and he will be sadly missed. He did every possible role at this club.

Lewis Jones was one of 11 riders involved in a crash in the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship at Oulton Park, which led to the rest of the event being cancelled.
