When he found out she loved the outdoors as much as he did, he was intrigued. “It may have been one of the reasons we fell in love,” Miller says. One of his proudest moments came when his 80-year-old grandmother yelled at one of his cousins who didn’t want to accept him. He now lives in Fort Collins, but he grew up in Sterling, a rural, conservative city.
