CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns appear on the brink of passing on a quarterback at No. 2 overall in favor of a unicorn. Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter has been all the buzz as the draft nears and it almost feels like the only thing left to do is start printing up the No. 12 jerseys. It means the Browns will pass on a quarterback at No. 2, normally a spot where a team coming off a 3-14 season and remaking the most important position would pounce on a signal-caller.

BEREA, Ohio — Browns GM Andrew Berry held his pre-draft press conference on Thursday, a week before his team goes on the clock with the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft. CLEVELAND, Ohio — The buzz for the Browns selecting wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter at No. 2 overall has been building since Colorado’s pro day earlier this month. CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns did the fans a favor last week and brought back Joe Flacco. This wasn’t just a fan-service move, of course. There’s football logic behind bringing back the man who went from enemy to friend a few years ago. The Browns, prior to Friday, only had one quarterback on the roster, Kenny Pickett, healthy enough to play.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The long NFL Draft process is winding down and, to this point, the Browns have done a good job of masking their plans at No. 2 overall. They’ve done such a good job that at least one national reporter has gone on record at different times over the last few months predicting they would pick just about every realistic option available to them when they go on the clock. The good news: It’s almost over. The bad news: We’re running out of time to do mock drafts.
