ENDWELL, N.Y. (WBNG) -- On May 8, after-school programs at Maine Endwell Middle School ended, and sixth grader Brayson Potter got on his bus home. Potter began repeatedly tapping on his friend’s shoulder. When he did not stop after being asked by the bus driver, he was unprepared for what happened next. “The bus driver said, ‘Brayson, if you do not stop, you’re going to get kicked off the bus,’” Brayson’s father, Brandon, recounted.

OXFORD, N.Y. (WBNG) -- The Village of Oxford said its final goodbyes to a beloved man, friend and highway worker. A memorial parade was held in honor of lifelong resident Michael Crandall, who died last week at age 61 in a motorcycle crash. Hundreds who came to support their friend on May 7 reminded the Crandall family of his impact on the community. “It really helped us realize that we’re not alone in our grief,” said Crandall’’s older sister Susan Ranous.

Commissioner of Aviation at Greater Binghamton Airport Mark Heefner said this will create a smoother interaction with TSA. “Real IDs are already vetted,” Heefner said.
