One person is dead after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash late Thursday afternoon at an Interstate 86 offramp in the Town of Horseheads. The Chemung County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as Dakota M. Keister, 22, of Southport. The crash took place shortly after 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the I-86 Exit 54 offramp to state Route 13, according to the sheriff's office. Arriving deputies found a red 2008 Kawasaki ZX 6R motorcycle with extensive damage, and Keister was located about 100 yards away.

Sean Robert Hall was originally arrested in November 2024 after an investigation determined he drugged and raped at least 17 women. Hall was also investigated and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine at his home on Linden Street in Sayre. Hall, who pleaded guilty to 21 felonies, and codefendant Ashley Hamm, of Pine City, were also implicated in the drugging and rape of an unconscious pregnant woman. Hamm will be sentenced June 30.

56 entrants across four classes (GTP, LMP2, GTD Pro, and GTD) will compete in the Six Hours of The Glen. Buffalo Bills' Dion Dawkins will serve as the grand marshal for the event. The Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen is the longest-running race name in Watkins Glen International's storied history, with another chapter to be added this weekend. The road course's history of six-hour races dates back to 1968. Since 2001, the event has been known as the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen.

Play began in Big Flats in 1950 and the next year the league became part of Little League. Moshier was one of 54 people honored June 18 at Corning Inc.'s annual Service Awards Luncheon, an event dedicated to recognizing retirees who began their careers with the company 50 and 75 years ago. “I have great pride, in part because I’m a native of Corning, and the company has always supported me,” said Moshier, who worked at Corning Inc. from 1975 to 2015.
