Perinton, N.Y. (WHAM) — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office shared new details Wednesday on what a Fairport man is calling a racially motivated hate crime. A Wayne County man has been charged with second-degree attempted murder and assault in connection to that incident. In photos shared to social media from a hospital bed, Dylan Ghaemi of Fairport appeared battered, bruised and bandaged. He said he was the victim of a brutal attack Monday on the Indian Hill Trail off Route 31 in Perinton.

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — A man suspected to be involved in a homicide on Oscar Street Sunday morning was shot by officers after allegedly fleeing on foot and exchanging gunfire with them. Around 7:00 a.m., officers responded to Oscar Street for a report of a man shot. Officers found 30-year-old David Vasquez suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. Vasquez was pronounced dead on the scene.

Canandaigua, N.Y. (WHAM) —Several people gathered at Lakefront Park in Canandaigua on Friday in honor of Sam Nordquist. Those in attendance at a brief dove release, followed by moments of prayer, say they didn't know Sam Nordquist, but they were affected by his death. The 24-year-old transgender man of Minnesota had been staying at Patty's Lodge on Routes 5 & 20 in Hopewell when police say he was brutally murdered. His remains were found in mid-February in Yates County.

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Ahmad Rivasfar, an Iranian American living in Greece, shared his concerns Thursday amid the conflict between Israel and Iran. Ahmad Rivasfar remembered first arriving in the United States in 1976. After briefly serving in the Iranian military, Rivasfar travelled here to train to become a U.S. Navy pilot. "My dad was an Air Force pilot, so I learned from him, and I knew that was going to be my path," said Rivasfar.

A very interesting article. This is very much in accord with my view that Farage is trying to broaden Reform towards the centre.
