With tariffs on Chinese goods now at 145%, business owners are getting concerned about supplies they need and ultimately their bottom line. “Some of the vendors have contacted and say, hey prices are going to go up. They haven’t said by how much, because the tariff rates are changing,” said Henry Chan, the owner of Shanghai Bistro in Eau Claire.

(WEAU) - Fluoride has been in Eau Claire’s drinking water since the 1950′s, according to staff with the utilities department. “The current CIP account for fluoride, the current budget is $53,000 for this year.On average, we’re spending around that,” said Cole Cloutier, a utilities engineer with the city. More than 80% of Wisconsin municipalities in total have implemented fluoridation practices, according The City-County Health Department.

Before going further on changing parking policies, the city took the time to discuss the findings with community stakeholders Thursday. “We have discussed parking down here since I have been down here. Through a new initiative, students at Flynn Elementary are now turning trash into treasure in more ways than one.

At the VFW Post 305 in Eau Claire the community came out Sunday afternoon to raise money for her son who is living with severe complications from a rare genetic disease. “The fundraiser has been an amazing turnout. The community has been spectacular. Veterans and the people here at the post, the community is great,” said Heidi Wilson.
