Nine people, including a baby, are in hospital after a boat reportedly exploded in Lechlade. A significant number of emergency services personnel raced to the serious incident on the River Thames at around midday on Saturday (31 May). As the flames took hold of the residential vessel following what is thought to have been an explosion, members of the public helped rescue people from the fire and water.

A biker was killed when four motorcycles were struck by a car on a Wiltshire route. Three air ambulances were scrambled to a road traffic collision on the A36 at Knook, near Warminster, at around 10.30am this morning (Saturday). Wiltshire Police say the incident involved a car – a red Toyota Prius – and four motorcycles. Only one of the bikes – a yellow Piaggio scooter – was visible at the scene, with the others understood to be in the nearby undergrowth.

The A360 in Wiltshire has been closed by police after a car flipped in a crash. Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the busy route between Tilshead and Shrewton at around 6pm today (Saturday). Fire crews are on scene alongside the ambulance service and police officers. The road has been closed in both directions as first responders attend the scene. Eight ambulances and an air ambulance are currently attending a boat fire in Lechlade. Emergency services were called to a serious incident on the River Thames at around midday today (Saturday), with a significant 999 response. A boat – believed to be a house boat – caught fire, with black smoke billowing into the sky. Numerous fire crews are in attendance as firefighters battle the raging flames.

Three air ambulances have landed for a serious crash in Wiltshire. Emergency services were called to the A36 at Heytesbury, near Warminster, at around 10.30am this morning (Saturday). Further details are unclear at this stage – but the incident has sparked a signficnant 999 response. Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Great Western Air Ambulance are all on scene. This suggests the crash has resulted in multiple casualties with serious injuries.
