    Labour TD Alan Kelly has criticised the latest allocation of newly-graduated Gardaí, calling it a “clear discrimination” against Tipperary and rural communities across Ireland. Of the 120 recruits who graduated this week from the Garda College in Templemore, just one has been assigned to Tipperary, specifically to Nenagh Garda Station. In stark contrast, 74 new Gardaí, or roughly 62% of the class, are being deployed to stations in Dublin.

    Six out of every 10 (63%) people in Tipperary expect to receive a salary raise this year, according to research conducted by leading recruitment agency, FRS Recruitment. A further seven out of 10 Tipp workers would be willing to change jobs for a salary increase of 20% or less and 53% of people in the county believe their salary fairly reflects their current role. The research also showed that three in four people in Tipperary (76%) believe they could find a new job in 3 months or less.
