Uisce Éireann has confirmed that, following consultation with the Health Service Executive, customers on this supply can now resume normal use of their water supply. This follows remedial works with consistent satisfactory sampling results. The boil water notice was issued on June 9 to protect the health of more than 4,000 customers, following operational issues which impacted the treatment process at the plant.

This site on Emmett Street is the main cultural and administrative centre of Clonmel and is situated in the wider town centre area. It is located on the route between Mick Delahunty Square and The Kickham Barracks Quarter. The Council Civic Offices, Tipperary Museum of Hidden History and the Clonmel Swimming Pool are all adjacent to the proposed library site. The current library in Clonmel has served the citizens of Tipperary for nearly four decades.

The meeting in the Rhu Glenn Country Club Hotel in Co Kilkenny was organised by the Irish Road Victims Association (IRVA) and the N25 Waterford to Glenmore Road Safety Campaign. A capacity crowd drawn from Waterford, Kilkenny and Wexford heard from a range of passionate speakers demanding that action be taken on the 6km stretch of road which has claimed the lives of 12 people in 12 years. A follow up meeting is planned for September.

I grew up in 1980s Ireland. Church controlled, huge unemployment, emigration, dismal for women, no foreign cuisine, blashemy laws criminalising rational thought. A joyless place devoid of reason
