    TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Firefighters reported no injuries in a Tupelo house fire. The fire happened Saturday night on Wayne Street, Tupelo Fire Chief Brad Robinson said. He said the house was vacant, and the city alerted the owner to do something about the property. Robinson said the fire is under investigation as possible arson.     TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - The Tupelo Farmers Market is here for the season and it is happening at a new location in the downtown area. The Depot is open on Front Street. The $2.1 million project is named to reflect Tupelo's train history and its location by the railroad tracks. "It also feels like we can engage with the community alot better because this is a place that you can find on accident," Troquad Hughes said.

    TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - The Tupelo Farmers' Market held its grand opening at its new spot at The Depot over the weekend. Many showed up to the new location on Front Street for fresh fruits and vegetables from local vendors. This spot across from ACE Hardware and the Tupelo Fire Department, Station 1 used to be a parking lot. Now, it is thriving with local farmers and businesses selling homegrown produce, homemade meals, honey, flowers and much more.

    MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTVA) - Meridian native Jamal Roberts won "American Idol" on Sunday night. The 27-year-old physical education teacher won the competition over John Foster. He's the second Mississippian to win the TV competition. Amory native Trent Harmon won the competition in 2016.     MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTVA) - Meridian native Jamal Roberts is bringing home the title of American Idol. The 27-year-old P.E. teacher, "I'm still trying to process this...God is so good," in a thank you post on Facebook after the announcement of his win during the 3-hour season finale. Roberts and the other two finalists, Breanna Nix of Denton, TX and John Foster of Addis, LA, opened the show with a rendition of "We Are The Champions" by Queen. They went on to pay tribute to their hometowns.
