    NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) - A collision between a vehicle and a child on a bicycle killed the 11-year-old in New Albany. Union County Pam Boman identified the child as Kasen Wimberly. The coroner said the accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. on Monday, April 14 in the area of Booker and Baker streets.     TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Traffic is backed up along part of Highway 45 in Tupelo Tuesday morning. The Tupelo Police Department reported an overturned 18-wheeler is blocking traffic on Highway 45 Southbound near McCullough Blvd. Drivers should expect "major delays" according to police.     TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - The Big Lots store in Tupelo is officially back in business. The popular discount retail chain held a soft opening of the West Main Street store on Thursday, April 10. The company closed hundreds of stores late last year after the chain filed for bankruptcy. However, a new company later assumed ownership and started the process of reopening stores. "I think it's great that they came back," customer Chris Lewis said on Thursday morning.

    JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - Overnight storms injured at least six people in north Mississippi. Violent storms swept through the northern portion of the state and several other states Wednesday night, April 2 and Thursday morning. Gov. Tate Reeves reported three injuries in Tippah County, two in Tate County and one in Marshall County. He reported no deaths as of Thursday afternoon. He also reported damage to at least 60 homes in Benton, Bolivar, Marshall, Tate and Tippah counties as of Thursday afternoon.
