BUFFALO COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - Goldie the cat has come a long way after being rescued from a hoarding case. Initially very shy and skittish, Goldie is coming out of her shell. She is starting to accept affection - even leaning in for a good head scratch from caretakers at the Buffalo County Humane Association. She’s a flame-point Siamese, estimated to be around two years old. Goldie is looking for a quiet home where she’ll get the space she needs to feel safe. Click HERE for the adoption application.

CLARK COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - A curious pup with a positive attitude arrived at the Clark County Humane Society from an overcrowded shelter. Chad is a three-year-old shepherd mix. This pooch with perky ears enjoys playtime and getting attention. Chad would benefit from an active home that includes getting out of the house regularly for walks or hikes. He does need a home without cats. As with any dog, training and socialization in his new home will be incredibly important to his success.

DUNN COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - If you love sweets, you’re sure to love this pup named Cookie. This two-year-old is available for adoption at the Dunn County Humane Society. Cookie is looking for a home without small dogs or cats, and kids in the home should be older. Just like her name suggests, Cookie is the sweetest gal. She loves a good walk or zoom around the yard, and then she’s all about snuggles and being close to her favorite people. Click HERE for the adoption process and application.

TREMPEALEAU COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - This food loving feline is available for adoption at the Trempealeau County Humane Society. George is approximately three years old. He arrived at the shelter in March as a stray. George is described as gentle and easy going. A child visiting the shelter recently carried him around like a baby, and George loved it. As previously mentioned, he also loves food, which is probably why he weighs around 15 pounds. George isn’t one for running around.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Big ears and an even bigger heart. Hazel comes off nervous at first, but she quickly warms up. A great example is when she participated in the Eau Claire Community Humane Association’s Slumber Pawty. Hazel was excited to have someone spend all day with her, and she got lots of lap time. When lap time is over, she has lots of energy to burn. Hazel does well in puppy play group, but there are times where she’s selective with other dogs. Click HERE for adoption information.
