MILTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — Tempers flared in Milton on Tuesday night at the city's water board meeting. Many people who live in town say they're sick of having dirty water, like Randall Jarvis. "I can't brush my teeth. Everybody knows I'm right," he said. Mark Allen is another Milton resident who said he can't believe the issues have been so prolonged. "I don't understand how we can be living in 2024 and having a water situation that we're having,” Allen said.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A new strip mall will soon be coming to the downtown Huntington area. The location will be on Fifth Avenue across from the Cabell County Courthouse. The city’s zoning board gave the project a greenlight during Tuesday night’s meeting. The strip mall is expected to be 10,000 square feet for five different units. Developers hope to see several different businesses set up shop, whether it be retail, medical, business offices or even an eatery.

BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WCHS) — A popular pub and eatery is the talk of the Village of Barboursville and its inspiration is more than 150 years old. Jason Beter is the owner of the new 1861 Public House located on Main Street in Barboursville and one of it's main inspirations is the village's history. "One of the first land battles of the Civil War took place in 1861 in Barboursville, so that kind of tied into it," Beter said.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — School is out. Do you know where your kids are during the day? Many parents in Huntington do, their kids are hanging out during the week for two months at the S.H.I.N.E. Summer Camp. The camp, held at the J.W. Scott Community Center in the Fairfield West area of Huntington, offers educational activities including math, reading, spelling, science, filmmaking, gardening, podcasting and photography.
