The Philadelphia Flyers fired coach John Tortorella on Thursday with nine games left in another losing season for a franchise that hasn't been in the playoffs since 2020. PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - Sister Catherine Masino is not only the principal of St. Cecilia School in Fox Chase, she's also a longtime, loyal Philadelphia sports fan. PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - The Eagles have a chance on Sunday to finish a magical season with a Super Bowl title. Not only would a win make history for the Birds, but it would prevent the Kansas City Chiefs from winning an unprecedented third Super Bowl in a row. Philadelphia is a phenomenal sports town. It's a football town. It's an Eagles town. "The passion oozes out. I play the game that I love here. Definitely couldn't imagine being anywhere else," quarterback Jalen Hurts said.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - James Oswald says Philadelphia sports is in his blood, and you can certainly hear that when the 15-year-old Archbishop Wood freshman speaks. He's passionate, studious, extremely knowledgeable, often wears Phillies stuff and has a memory like an encyclopedia - to the point where a Saturday afternoon Phillies game against the White Sox last April still bothers him. It was a 9-5 win in which the Phillies allowed five runs in the ninth.

In all seriousness, Kyle Schwarber with 6 home runs to start the season. An excellent start for him. Spencer Schwellenbach has given up a run for the first time this season.

It must be June. Kyle Schwarber has 6 home runs so far.
