LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Consistent golf is something very few golfers at the 2025 Donna Andrews Invitational tournament at Boonsboro C.C. were able to maintain over three days. By the back-nine, however, there was little doubt towards the final result. Wake Forest alum Emilia Doran claimed the crown, finishing the three-day tournament with a whopping six-stroke win. (-6). Doran was the only golfer to finish under par for the tournament, and also put forth three under par rounds.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — A lightning fast start helped propel Mary Grace Dunigan to an early lead at the 2025 Donna Andrews Invitational tournament at Boonsboro Country Club on Thursday. The current William & Mary sophomore shot a low of 32 on the front nine holes, finishing the round 4-under par, good enough for a two stroke lead over 17-year old Carter Bransford from Glen Allen and Lauren Slatton from Tennessee, both of whom sit at 2-under par.

SALEM, Va. (WSET) — The 2024-2025 high school sports calendar wrapped Saturday with multiple area teams claiming state championships. BASEBALL:Once again, Salem became "Raider Country", as Appomattox claimed the Class 2 title over King William, 3-1. It's the second state title for the Raiders, and the first for coach Jamie Terry, who took over for Joe Caruso. Now an assistant under Terry, Caruso led the 2022 Raiders to their first title over John Battle.
