A rollover crash involving an ambulance May 17 left one emergency responder critically injured and temporarily sidelined a small-town Oregon fire department. The Oakridge Fire & EMS unit crashed shortly before 2 p.m. on Highway 58 near milepost 30, officials said. The crew was returning from a patient transport and did not have a patient on board at the time. Three emergency responders were inside the vehicle when it rolled.

Eugene police responded to a fatal stabbing Saturday evening. A 65-year-old was taken into custody at the scene. Police have not released details on what led to the stabbing. A 63-year-old man was killed in a stabbing Saturday evening, and a woman was arrested in connection with his death, according to Eugene police. Officers responded at 6:59 p.m. to a residence in the 1500 block of West 6th Avenue, where they found the man deceased, according to a Eugene Police Department news release.
