North Eugene High School was placed on lockdown the morning of May 29 due to police activity in the area, according to Eugene School District 4J. The school, located at 250 Silver Lane, went into lockdown “out of caution” following advice from the Eugene Police Department, the district said. Police said they responded around 11:30 a.m. to a dispute involving a group of juveniles, during which an armed individual fled the scene.
