Sligo Rovers' struggles continued at the Showgrounds as a late Lys Mousset winner fired Bohemians to within two points of the SSE Airtricity Premier Division summit. To make matters worse for the Bit O'Red, Owen Elding missed an early penalty for Rovers who have now lost ten of their opening fifteen games.

Drogheda United fell from the top of the Premier Division table after Sligo Rovers struck twice in the space of six second-half minutes to claw back a two-goal deficit at the Showgrounds. Now with just one win in their last five, United led courtesy of goals either side of half time from the boots of Conor Keeley and Thomas Oluwa. An Owen Elding goal on 67 minutes and a Conor Kane own goal shortly after saw Rovers level the tie and topple Drogs from top spot.

Francely Lomboto scored a 90th minute equaliser as Sligo Rovers pulled a point from the fire against ten man Cork City at the Showgrounds. Kitt Nelson had given Tim Clancy's side the lead with 14 minutes to go, but Rovers were rewarded for a late rally when Lomboto netted his third goal of the season at the death. The point will certainly be more welcome in Cork than in the north west as the result leaves a three-point gap between City and the Bit O'Red, who continue to occupy bottom spot.

Galway United picked up their first league win at the Showgrounds in 29 years as they inflicted a fourth consecutive defeat upon a struggling Sligo Rovers. Defender Cian Byrne bagged a famous brace for the Tribesmen who, with this victory, moved to third and within two points of leaders Drogheda. An unconvincing Rovers did give themselves a fighting chance midway through the second period when Owen Elding fired home a penalty, but the hosts couldn't find a second goal to level this tie.
