    Just two points adrift at the break, Glenfin had no answer to the power play of a youthful Four Masters side in the second half of this Division 1 encounter at Tirconaill Park. A penalty won by veteran Gerard Ward on the stroke of half-time was powered to the net by his cousin Shaun but that was as good as it got for the Glenfin men.

    Donegal got off to the perfect start in  their quest to retain the Ulster senior football championship with 10 points to spare against Derry in sun-drenched MacCumhaill Park, Ballybofey on Sunday. The build-up to the game was almost perfect. The Donegal U-20s took care of business against Tyrone on Wednesday evening and the minors put up a big fight on Saturday in the Ulster Minor League final also against Tyrone, going down by a couple of points.

    Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair with their first ever Danske Bank Ulster All-Stars and Abbey VS, Donegal Town are both doubly represented on the Colleges All-Star team for 2025, which was released this evening. Abbey VS, who reached the MacRory Cup final, are represented by captain Turlough Carr and sharpshooter corner-forward Conor McCahill. Carr is following in the footsteps of his older brother, Seanán, who was midfield on last year’s All-Star team.
