Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a 30-year-old man who has been reported missing in County Kildare. In an appeal, they say Andrei Puflea from Leixlip has not been seen since Saturday morning. He is described as being approximately 5 foot 10 inches in height, with a heavy build, black hair and brown eyes. It is not known what Andrei was wearing when he went missing and gardai say both they and Andrei’s family are concerned for his wellbeing.

Two men are being questioned by gardai following a significant heroin seizure during a pre-planned operation in Dublin targeting organised crime. Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a 53-year-old man who has not been seen for more than a month. In an appeal, issued this Saturday, they say James Aherne vanished from his home Grand Canal Place in Dublin 8 on March 31 of March 2025. James is described as being approximately 6 foot in height, of slim build, with closely shaved mousey brown hair and brown eyes.

AN INVESTIGATION is underway after an elderly woman died in an early-morning house fire in Limerick city. The alarm was raised in the early hours of this Saturday and emergency services, including crews from Limerick Fire and Rescue Service, were quickly deployed to the scene at Wolfe Tone Street, close to the city centre. It's understood the fire was quickly brought under control and that the body of the woman, who was aged in her 70s, was discovered during a subsequent search of the property.
