Severe thunderstorms are moving across North Jersey on Sunday as the region braces for several days of extreme heat, according to a Sunday morning briefing from the National Weather Service. Passaic County has agreed to pay $110,000 to settle the lawsuit. Passaic County has agreed to pay $110,000 to settle a lawsuit filed by a former Preakness Healthcare Center employee over alleged privacy violations and racial discrimination tied to his 2020 termination. The settlement, expected to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners on June 17, ends a lawsuit filed by Marc-Elie Georges of Sparta in 2022 over what he called an unwarranted termination.
