From her backyard deck, she points to bamboo from a neighbor’s yard, taller than the houses, straining against fences and popping up in yards. “It was all under the deck, and all along there, a ton of bamboo,” Cairns said.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Senator Rand Paul described the impact of tariffs in Kentucky as “extensive.”He made those comments Monday after speaking with business representatives in Louisville at a meeting hosted by Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI). “I think the general tenor of the room was supportive of the position we shouldn’t be adding so many tariffs,” Paul said. Paul was one of just three republicans recently voting against the Trump administration’s tariffs.

(WAVE) - After a devastating and suspicious fire, the Pewee Valley community rallies to the aid of a local business owner. “Today, reality hit of what I actually lost,” Vicki Tingle, owner of the Cottage at Tingle’s Plants and Produce, said. “It’s been a very sad day. I’ve been crying a lot and so has my husband.”Early Thursday morning, flames swept through Tingle’s antique shop, destroying almost everything inside.

(WAVE) - Walking through his now spotless lobby, Captain’s Quarters co-owner Andrew Masterson laughed when asked how bad the flood was. “It was pretty bad,” Masterson said with a chuckle. “The ceiling had come down, a lot of light fixtures collapsed.”High water marks inside the building are visible from when 11 feet of water filled the Captain’s Quarters, leaving behind weeks of exhausting cleanup and repairs.
