    GREENE COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — A house on Grand Sand Hole Road caught fire in Greene County Friday. Two homeowners were within the house along with their 20 cats at the time of the blaze. Only half of the cats, 10, and were able to be extracted safely. The homeowners were able to make it out of the house without injuries. The home has been deemed a total loss. Ammunition was located inside the home by Snow Hill firefighters who were able to safely put out that area to avoid further damage.

    GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Walmart on Greenville Boulevard faced a fire early Friday morning. Greenville Fire and Rescue arrived to the fire around 5am, and they saw smoke coming from the garden section of the store. The building’s fire sprinkler system helped to control the fire, containing it to a small section of the garden area. No injuries were reported and crews believe the cause of the fire to be accidental.
