LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Tuesday afternoon, two young adults and three teenagers were involved in a high-speed police chase that began in Livingston County and ended in Lansing, according to Livingston County. Shortly after 4:30 p.m., deputies from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office say they tried to pull over a stolen 2020 black BMW X5, but the driver wouldn’t stop, leading to a chase on I-96 into Brighton, which turned into a dead-end street.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Four people have been charged in the death of a 5-year-old boy from Royal Oak, Michigan, who was killed in a hyperbaric chamber explosion, Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Tuesday. The boy, Thomas Cooper, was “incinerated” inside a pressurized oxygen chamber that exploded at Oxford Center, a medical facility in a Detroit suburb, on Jan. 31. His mother was standing next to the chamber and was injured trying to save her boy.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A dog bit and injured two Lansing police officers Thursday afternoon during a traffic stop of a theft suspect. Police tell 6 News the officers were looking for a theft suspect and found him in a car with another person on the 400 block of South Francis Ave near Kalamazoo St.When officers were trying to take the man into custody on an outstanding warrant for his arrest, a dog in the car bit both officers’ hands and arms.

UP Products, LLC, and Meyer Wholesale are recalling 400 pounds of ready-to-eat pork and beef sausage, and raw pork and beef potato sausage products due to misbranding and undeclared allergen. Officials say the product contains soy.
