    A Kink Fest in Long Beach was filled with spanking, wrestling and howling on Nov. 23. A crowd of pups, fetishists, and many others gathered in downtown Long Beach to celebrate the kink community.  Several attendees at the event identify themselves as pups which is part of a subculture where people engage in pup-play where the individual identifies as a dog and can even include having a handler.

    In the aftermath of Donald Trump’s win in the presidential election, an undocumented student and her family face anxiety over the Trump administration holding power.  Comments made by Trump suggest mass deportations and a closed border could go into effect once he takes office, which could potentially affect an undocumented student or someone in their household.

    ASB hosted their third ASB After Dark event on Nov.19 on the Liberal Arts Campus to connect students with late classes to their community at LBCC. The event was also at the Trades Tech Community Learning Campus from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in between building DD and GG on Wednesday. Calvin Lewis, the representative of evening and online students, was one of several ASB  members who helped organize the event.

    Long Beach City College has now made the process of printing entirely cashless, when it should be inclusive to students who carry cash, not just those who have a credit or debit card.  The change was recently implemented in August of this year and is one of the only methods to print on campus. In several locations such as the Math Success Center and the library, printing requires manual card entry or funds accessed by the WEPA app.

    The TTC campus hosted a Halloween carnival that included events such as a film showcase of Coco, costume contest and games set up  by several campus clubs. Due to a homecoming event that was held on campus a week prior, the school was prompted to move their Halloween event to the following Friday despite it being the day after Halloween, giving families an extra day of spooky festivities.
