Syracuse, N.Y. — It was nearly midnight when Felisha Legette-Jack got the text. A few moments later came a knock at the door. On the other side was Keira Scott, a freshman forward who had been the first player to commit to the coach’s 2024 recruiting class. The Syracuse women’s basketball team was coming off a 30-point loss to Creighton back in November during the Emerald Coast Classic in Destin, Florida. “It was just a horrible, horrible loss. It was just sickening,” Scott said.
