AbstractSuccinate upregulates enterohaemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) virulence. Lysine succinylation, a post-translational modification, regulates cellular function in eukaryotes but is less characterized in bacteria. We hypothesized that lysine succinylation regulates EHEC virulence. Here we used SILAC-based proteomics and characterized the EHEC succinylome to show that the transcription factor, PurR, is succinylated at K24 and K55.

Cell-membrane engineering strategies for clinic-guided design of nanomedicine Cells are the fundamental units of life. The cell membrane primarily composed of two layers of phospholipids (a bilayer) structurally defines the boundary of a cell, which can protect its interior from external disturbances, and also selectively exchange substances and conduct signals with extracellular environments.

Abstract This article proposes a fixed-time backstepping distributed cooperative containment control scheme for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A fixed-time compensator is designed for the fixed-wing UAVs actuator saturation problem. Based on this, an improved fixed-time disturbance observer is proposed for the problem of the excessive initial peak. The problem of “complexity explosion” is solved by the fixed-time differential filter.
