The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) held its annual Legislative Day event March 9-11 in Washington, D.C. Pest management professionals (PMPs) met with legislators on Capitol Hill to advocate for the pest management industry. PMPs asked legislators to support the inclusion of pesticide preemption in the 2025 Farm Bill — a package of legislation primarily related to agriculture, food and farming — to ensure pesticides continue to be regulated by scientific experts.

This year marks the eighth Pest Management Professional (PMP) Growth Summit. Since 2017, leaders of pest control companies with revenue of $1 million or more spend two-and-a-half days at the Reunion Resort & Golf Club in Kissimmee, Fla. PMP welcomed 14 partner companies to help 33 attendees from 28 companies grow in 2025 and beyond. The group networked with pest control colleagues and partner company representatives, shared their business and pest control knowledge, and learned from one another.

The California Association of Pest Management Advocates (CAPMA) gathered in Sacramento, Calif., April 7–9 for its annual Legislative Days. The event brings pest management professionals across the state together to connect, collaborate and advocate for the industry’s future. The event schedule offered a variety of different activities and opportunities to engage and network with fellow pros in the industry. On Monday, there was a golf tournament and BBQ lunch at Teal Bend Golf Course.
