CHARLOTTESVILLE — Two international University of Virginia alumni have had their visas revoked. That's in addition to a currently enrolled UVa student whose visa revocation was announced earlier this month. The trio join more than two dozen international students and recent graduates of Virginia colleges who have lost their legal right to live and study in the U.S. amid the Trump administration's crackdown on immigration, which has so far targeted more than 1,000 students nationwide.

Charlottesville City Council officially adopted a $265.2 million budget for the next fiscal year at a special meeting Tuesday. The 2026 budget includes a $13.3 million increase in projected revenues over the previous year. Council decided against raising certain tax rates. .@UVA is now the first university in Virginia to announce an international student had their visa revoked. It joins a growing list U.S. of colleges (at least 80, by one estimate) with students whose legal status has been put in jeopardy by the Trump admin. https://t.co/GHq9bpnFdD

It was, in fact, less — much less. By my account, Ellis' page was taken down at 6:35 p.m. https://t.co/dDqzxqjVhF

One last video from today’s protest. Students are taking aim at @UVA and its admin. “Instead of serving each other in this community, over the past couple of years we have seen time and time again, that this administration and the Board of Visitors have forsaken their students.” https://t.co/SY0G0dFeA6
