A Wapato man is expected to be arraigned April 17 on two counts of felony harassment for allegedly pointing a shotgun at a couple. Prosecutors charged Osvaldo Castaneda-Lopez in Yakima County Superior Court on Monday. Wapato police were called to the 100 block of West Fourth Street around 10:25 p.m. April 2 on reports that someone was pointing a gun at a man.

Yakima County prosecutors have charged a Kittitas man with attempted first-degree kidnapping after authorities said he hit his girlfriend with a rifle, dragged her from a car and threatened to kill her. Dwayne David Stafford, 56, is also charged in Yakima County Superior Court with second-degree assault and felony harassment, all with domestic-violence enhancements. Stafford is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Monday.

A Wapato man is expected to be arraigned April 17 on two counts of felony harassment for pointing a shotgun at a couple. Prosecutors charged Osvaldo Castaneda-Lopez in Yakima County Superior Court Monday. A man and his wife told police that a man got out of a white sport-utility vehicle with tinted windows and appeared to chase a couple into the alley, according to a probable cause affidavit. The suspect was armed with a shotgun equipped with a green laser and was making gang-related statements.
