The province is warning the public of more measles exposures in Regina along with Lumsden in April and May. According to the province, anyone who was at the following locations on the specified dates and times should monitor themselves for measles symptoms for 21 days after the potential exposure. The latest announced Regina exposure sites are Ellis Pools and Construction and Jesus The Anointed One Church.

Saskatchewan’s Highway Hotline digital platform was visited more than 60 million times over the last year, a new record for the road information service. According to the province, the website had more than 40 million page views from April 2024 to March 2025, while the mobile app had more than 20 million. The province said a contributing factor to the record was a higher number of storms this past winter than the previous one.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says smoke is causing poor air quality and reduced visibility for a large portion of eastern Saskatchewan on Friday. The advisory was in effect from the Candle Lake area through Weyburn and Estevan to the U.S. border as of 11 a.m. Friday. The Saskatchewan NDP says a leaked letter from healthcare workers at the Regina General Hospital indicates that patients have died after not receiving urgent life-saving care due to severe staffing shortages. According to the letter obtained by the Saskatchewan NDP, the severe shortages are in the hospital’s Interventional Radiology (IR) unit. The letter is signed by 15 radiology technologists and nurses.

Evraz Inc. NA Canada has been fined $575,000 for a 2022 incident in Regina that saw a worker suffer serious injuries while inspecting the underside of a sheet metal as it was mechanically moving through a metal slitting machine. The company pleaded guilty in Regina provincial court on April 29 to one violation of The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 2020, according to the province.
