    U.S. Representative Val Hoyle will team up with Senator Jeff Merkley for a series of town halls in Southern Oregon on April 15, giving constituents in Curry, Coos, and Douglas counties a chance to engage directly with their federal lawmakers. The day kicks off in Brookings at 10 a.m. at the Southwestern Oregon Community College’s Curry Campus, followed by an afternoon townhall at 2:30 p.m. in North Bend at the Community Center.

    The Douglas County Fairgrounds unveiled its 2025 headline entertainment for the Douglas County Fair, promising a diverse mix of musical talent, all included with fair admission. The four-day event will take place from Aug. 6 through Aug. 9, and features nightly entertainment at the Cascade Community Credit Union Amphitheater. Douglas County Fairgrounds Director Ciera Keith said she is excited for this year’s lineup of entertainers.
