WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Rice County Sheriff’s Office says a teenage driver is lucky to be alive after a rollover crash. The sheriff’s office posted pictures of a heavily damaged truck that was involved in an accident Saturday night on Avenue N between 13th and 14th Roads. Deputies say the rollover crash involved a 16-year-old driver that had just left an underage drinking party. It is not known if the teen was injured.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - May 12 update: The Arkansas City Police Department said it received “numerous reports” of vehicle burglaries and thefts beginning early Sunday. A gun was stolen from one of the vehicles, and officers received reports of two vehicles stolen. Preliminary investigation show that the thefts happened between around 3:30 a.m. and 5:10 a.m. There were at least four reports from the Crestwood neighborhood, but reports emerged from other areas as well.

RENO COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) - Health officials have confirmed a positive case of measles found in a person living in Reno County. According to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), the case is not associated with any of the U.S. measles outbreaks and does not represent community transmission in Reno County. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines an outbreak of measles as three or more related cases.
