Madison Smith says the McPherson County Attorney’s Office called it, “immature sex” and said they would not file a rape charge, so Smith used a 134-year-old state law to convene her own grand jury. Ultimately, the grand jury did not bring charges in the case, and the man accused pleaded guilty to aggravated battery.

TEXAS COUNTY, Okla. (KSNW) – A wrongful death lawsuit was filed by the mother of Veronica Butler against the five people charged with her gruesome murder. The 32-page lawsuit was filed in Texas County, Oklahoma District Court, on Monday. Butler’s mother is suing on 13 counts, including civil conspiracy, defamation, and child stealing.
