BIG RAPIDS - A collaboration between the Public Art Collective and Riverview Elementary allowed fourth grade students to meet a local artist, learn about public art and create some of their own. The field trip, which took place Thursday, May 29, started at Mitchell Creek Park, where students met and asked questions of landscape architect Marlies Manning, the designer of Celebration Pavilion.

The teen returned on their own the same day. On May 19, an officer responded to a noise complaint at an apartment complex.

The subject was not located on the property, and a report will be sent to the prosecuting attorney for review. On May 22, officers responded to a report of retail fraud. The suspect was identified and trespassed from the property.
