FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- The Fort Wayne Komets couldn't keep up with the Kalamazoo Wings on Sunday. Fort Wayne netted their first goal (Jack Dugan) of the game at 5:32 in the second period to tie to the game at one. After giving up a goal seven minutes later, the K's answered with another goal (Jake Chiasson) to even the score at two. From there the Komets gave up two unanswered, falling 4-2.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- On Saturday, eight area teams punched their ticket to regionals. The Snider Panthers beat the Carroll Chargers 68-29 in the 4A sectional five championship, winning their third consecutive sectional trophy. Homestead pulled off a big upset in the 4A sectional six championship. The Spartans fought back and beat the Eagles 57-49 to earn their sixth sectional trophy.

CINCINNATI, Ohio. (WFFT) -- The Fort Wayne Komets netted five goals in the second period, pushing them to a 7-1 win over the Cincinnati Cyclones on Saturday. After trailing 1-0 after the end of the first, the Komets came back and scored seven unanswered. The K's close the weekend with a battle with the Kalamazoo Wings.
