The US Postal Service is working to “Stamp” out Hunger and is picking up donations at a door near you. Gabe, Melissa, and Jason are here to share more about the food drive and what organizations these donations will support. This event supports the local food banks and pantries in the area, including Gateway Mission, Resilience, Community Action House, and Salvation Army.

Hats & Hounds is happening on May 22 at 6 p.m. at Wildwood Farms in Alto. All proceeds from the evening will support PAWS and its mission to serve families. PAWS assistance dogs are individually trained for people with disabilities, as well as facility dogs for schools, hospitals, other organizations.

Opening day is this Saturday for the West Michigan Miracle League. The organization says its in need of 15-20 volunteers to help support the kids at bat and play in the outfield. WMML says volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Meijer Sports Complex in Rockford, however any amount of time donated would be appreciated.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – A sea of blue shirts covered the Blue Bridge in Grand Rapids as thousands walked in solidarity for autism awareness. The Hope Network Bridge Walk for Autism took place on Thursday to support resources and programs for families impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder. This year’s attendance more than doubled last year’s numbers, with an estimated 2,000 people turning out this year.
