A power outage has left over 6000 customers on Dublin’s southside without electricity this Tuesday evening. Faults at Templeogue and Whitestown, Tallaght have left 6306 ESB customers without power since 6pm, Tuesday, June 17. Tallaght TD Paul Murphy returned to Ireland this Tuesday afternoon after being detained twice by Egyptian authorities over a planned peace march on Gaza. The People Before Profit TD was first detained last Friday, June 13, along with a number of Irish and international activists attempting to take part in a protest march from Egypt to Gaza to highlight the ongoing aid blockade.

Student Council members from Coláiste Bríde attended the CEIST Student Leadership Conference 2025 on May 7, at DCU St Patrick’s Campus. CEIST (Catholic Education, an Irish Schools Trust) is the trustee body for 107 voluntary Catholic secondary schools in Ireland.

Tallaght TD Paul Murphy has been detained for a second time by Egyptian authorities. It’s understood he is being detained this Monday afternoon, June 16 in a Cairo police station. The People Before Profit TD was among a number of Irish people who were detained and had their passports and phones confiscated while travelling through Egypt on the way to Gaza on Friday, June 13.
