Ulster have 6 teams remaining namely, Tyrone, Monaghan and Armagh who are in the last 8 while Down, Donegal and Cavan are in the preliminary quarter finals. Kerry and Cork represent Munster with Louth, Dublin and Meath making up the Leinster contingent.

    Drogheda United have lost their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport around their removal to compete in this season's Conference League. The Louth club had qualified to compete in the qualifying rounds having won last season's FAI Cup. However, because United are owned by the Trivela Group, they won't be allowed compete as the same group also has a stake in Danish club Silkeborg. Under UEFA rules, two clubs with the same majority owners can't compete in the same European competition.

    Roscommon bowed out of the All-Ireland intermediate championship after a four-10 to three-nine defeat to Fermanagh in Kiltoom. The eight TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship quarter-finalists have been confirmed, with a draw to take place on Monday morningTwo goals from Eimear Smyth and one apiece from Molly McGloin and Bronagh Smyth paved the way for last year’s TG4 All-Ireland junior champions. Fermanagh had led by 4-2 to 1-5 at the interval.

    Hannah Tyrrell and Kate Sullivan both grabbed three goals each as Dublin booked an All-Ireland quarter-finals spot with an emphatic win over Leitrim. Dublin hit the ground running with early points from Tyrrell and Chloe Darby. Leitrim subsequently opened their account with a successful free courtesy of marauding goalkeeper Michelle Guckian.
