Jeremy Clarkson, the former Top Gear presenter, has made a successful and well-publicised venture into the world of food and drink. Since taking up farming, he's become a strong advocate for British agriculture, investing his earnings back into the industry. His Diddly Squat Farm Shop in the Cotswolds only stocks home-grown or locally-produced goods. At his nearby pub, The Farmer's Dog, he's even banned ketchup, coffee and Coca-Cola because they can't be sourced from within the British Isles.

Regardless of your opinion on Jeremy Clarkson, his support for British food, drink and farming is quite admirable. Through his show, Clarkson's Farm, the ex-Top Gear presenter has done a great deal to highlight agricultural issues and promote local produce. He doesn't just talk the talk either. His Diddly Squat Farm Shop sells items either grown on his Cotswolds farm or made locally by independent businesses - often using his own ingredients.
