AMORY, Miss. (WTVA) - The person accused of shooting and killing a teenager in Amory is now charged with second-degree murder. The shooting happened shortly before 10:37 p.m. on Monday, March 17, on Concord Avenue. Officers found the victim in a front yard, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim later died at the hospital in Amory. Police and Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley identified the victim as Jayden Blanchard, 19. Blanchard lived at the address, the coroner said.
