A staff member from Rep. August Pfluger's office confirmed this week that $6.8 million in funding for the Chaparral Road project and $5 million for the Rancier Avenue reconstruction would be axed for the 2025 fiscal year and would have to be submitted for the following fiscal year. This confirms earlier accounts from Commissioner Louie Minor, D-Killeen, who had said he was told by members of Pfluger's staff that the funding was suspended and needed to be submitted in the next fiscal year.
