The Trump Administration increased the tariff on imported Chinese products to 54%, including fireworks, just as shipments ordered last year are arriving at U.S. ports. The U.S. Government Department of Government Efficiency website lists cancelled leases for several Bureau of Indian Affairs offices, including those in Pawnee and Pawhuska. The plan for tribal services, or the staff working at the BIA offices, has not been announced. Osage Nation Principal Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear said that after learning the lease was cancelled for the BIA office on the Osage Capitol campus, he spent the weekend trying, unsuccessfully, to get answers.

Tulsa Congressman Kevin Hern said Thursday he doesn't know how many federal employees have been laid off in Oklahoma. Hern met with people in Glenpool Thursday, who wanted answers about cuts. He did not criticize the cuts or the way they are being handled. As a member of the most important budget committee in Washington, several constituents told him he wasn't doing his job. The City of Tulsa commission looking into race massacre reparations, has made some recommendations when it comes to housing. The members of the Beyond Apology Commission say they're ready to start the healing process for North Tulsa that came out of the 1921 race massacre. They're starting with a housing plan that calls for millions of dollars to be invested into North Tulsa.
