Man charged with assaulting child and two women on Inverclyde train (Image: Newsquest) A MAN has been charged with assaulting a 12-year-old girl and two women during the course of a train journey between Glasgow and Gourock. Lincoln Grandson is alleged to have targeted the three individuals on board the service on November 10, 2024. The 56-year-old is charged with attempting to strike the child on the head, as well as shouting, swearing and repeatedly pointing in her face.

Riverside Youth Band's solo festival was held in Port Glasgow (Image: Newsquest) A TALENTED group of young Inverclyde musicians recently shone on stage as they took part in their band’s solo festival. A total of 23 members of Riverside Youth Band performed for family and friends at Port Glasgow Salvation Army, accompanied by Claire Haslin. Adjudicator Ross Bahlaj, principal trombonist of the renowned Co-operation Band, offered feedback to the participants.
