TUCSON, Ariz. — On Friday, Empire takes on Tanque Verde in the semi-finals of the 3A State Playoffs. The Ravens, the defending 3A State Champions, may feel a bit of deja vu in this post season. “This is the exact situation we were in last year, semis with Tanque Verde," Empire third baseman Eva Peace said. A big difference this year, is the Hawks handed Empire their only loss this season. “It’s another opportunity," Peace said.

TUCSON, Ariz. — No. 10 Arizona Men's Tennis swept No. 21 Harvard, 4-0, Saturday afternoon in the NCAA Tournament Second Round. The doubles point came down to junior duo, Jay Friend and Eric Padgum. The Wildcats coming out with the 7-5 win over the Crimson. In the singles matches, Casper Christensen picked up Arizona's second point. To get the Wildcats up 3-0, the fifth ranked player in the country, Colton Smith wins his match in two sets, 6-3, 6-3. Every other match split for third sets.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — For the third straight year, No. 10 Arizona Men's Tennis is the host for the NCAA Regionals. The Wildcats enter the tournament coming off the program's ever Big 12 Championship. Arizona picked up the early lead in the doubles matches. The first doubles win, 6-3, was from Casper Chistensen and Filip Gustafsson. Then, the senior duo Iñaki Cabrera-Bello and Colton Smith secured the point with a 6-4 win over the Pioneers.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — In early April, KGUN 9 shared the story of Arizona defensive back, Ayden Garnes, who saved someone’s life by donating bone marrow. Garnes first got involved with the National Marrow Donor Program while at Duquesne University in 2022. Now as a Wildcat, Garnes is continuing to raise awareness in Tucson. “Getting more and more people in this smaller community is going to be a blessing," Garnes said.

TUCSON, Ariz. — Exactly one month ago, Arizona Baseball’s Brendan Summerhill injured his hand in a game against West Virginia. On Wednesday night, Summerhill returned to the plate. The junior led off for the Wildcats and first pitch hit a solo homerun adding to the 9-3 win over UT Arlington. "I got in there, took a deep breath and I just felt comfortable," Summerhill said. "I saw the umpire signal the homerun and you really can't make that up.
