KUAT-TV, also known as channel 6, is a public broadcasting service (PBS) station located in Tucson, Arizona. It serves as the television outlet for the University of Arizona (UA) and operates from its studios situated in the Modern Languages Building on the university campus. The station's programming is transmitted via two powerful transmitters: KUAT-TV from Mount Bigelow and KUAS-TV (channel 27) from Tumamoc Hill, which is to the west of downtown Tucson. This setup allows KUAS-TV to reach areas in northwest Tucson and communities that are not easily accessible by the Mount Bigelow signal. Additionally, there is a translator station in Duncan. Both KUAT-TV and the UA's radio services, KUAT-FM and KUAZ, are part of the collective brand known as Arizona Public Media (AZPM).
