Returning starter Emmett Johnson continues to play like a No. 1 back while sophomore Kwinten Ives is building on a December of extra practices and bowl-game snaps. NU offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen said Thursday the third and fourth options — and beyond — are still fighting for separation.
