A former Omaha Creighton Prep running back — who had a big redshirt freshman season at North Dakota State — entered the transfer portal this week. ChaMar Brown rushed for 1181 yards and 15 touchdowns last season NDSU, winning the Jerry Rice Award for best freshman season in FCS. The 5-foot-11, 214-pound Brown was the first Bison back to eclipse 1,000 yards in seven seasons. North Dakota State won the FCS national title in 2024.

Omaha basketball has reached back into the junior college ranks for its next point guard. Snow Junior College guard Mark Brown announced on social media that he’d committed to the Mavericks for the upcoming season. The 5-foot-11 guard, who will be a junior at UNO, averaged 13.3 points, 4.3 assists and 3.5 rebounds for Snow, located in Ephraim, Utah. Snow finished 32-2 and spent much of the season as the No. 1 junior college team before losing in the second round of the NJCAA Tournament.
