    COLUMBIA — A Columbia mom is bringing back the Memorial Day parade, honoring Gold Star families. It has been about six years since Columbia has had a Memorial Day parade. For over 30 years, Mary Posner put on the Salute to Veterans celebration, which included a parade, air show and various ceremonies. Posner died in 2019, leaving Columbia without anyone to carry on that tradition. That was until Sherry Wyatt's quest to honor her late son led to the revival of the parade honoring Gold Star families.

With so many reels to watch and news feeds to keep up with, checking social media has become a real addiction. The University of Columbia alumna said it is a subject that hits close to home.

He said learning the art of tattooing saved his life. Carter is a tattoo artist and wants to make a name for himself in the competitive industry. He wants to show the world you should not judge a book by its cover.
