Ms. Tierney-Prim is hoping to raise enough money to buy supplies such as portable walk-in greenhouse, potting soil and seedlings. The second grade teacher is asking for donations through DonorsChoose, an online charity that helps teachers get funding for school projects.

SHALLOTTE, N.C. (WECT/Gray News) β A large ball python snake was spotted slithering around a Chiliβs parking lot in southeastern North Carolina Tuesday. The Shallotte Police Department posted pictures of the snake on Facebook explaining they were called to respond to reports of a large snake by the family restaurant. βWe believe this may have been someoneβs pet and got loose,β the post read. A day later, the ball python was reunited with its owner, Christen Schiel.

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Rumors have been circulating that one of the owners of a new piano bar in downtown Wilmington is Kevin Keatts, the head coach for the menβs basketball team at N.C. State. Itβs not a rumor. Itβs a fact. Keatts and his business partner, Clayton Gsell own Tempo 33, the newest addition to downtown Wilmington. Its on the top floor of the Roudabush building--above Yosake and the Husk on S. Front St.Keatts and Gsell hosted a soft opening Wednesday night.
